Restructuration d’un appartement situé sur l’Ile de la Cité (4e) :

Cet appartement Haussmannien situé pas loin de Notre Dame possédait de beaux volumes mais une distribution mal agencée avec un salon plus petit que la salle à manger et uniquement accessible par l’entrée, des tuyaux apparents pour le chauffage, trop présents visuellement, et juste une salle de bain.
Redistribuer les espaces fut notre premier impératif en mettant la salle à manger proche de la cuisine et en relation directe avec le séjour situé dans l’axe de l’entrée et au volume adéquat pour ce lieu de vie. L’ancien salon fut transformé en chambre, avec une magnifique vue sur les toits de ce quartier historique, et à laquelle fut octroyée une salle de bain, tout en marbre de Thassos, prise sur l’entrée, commandée par un sas. Fonctionnalité qui permettait de réduire son « effet couloir » et lui redonner des proportions plus conviviales puisque l’accès à la cuisine, à l’opposé, se refermait aussi par une porte. Le sol, traité en pierre blanche polie, lui apportant toute sa noblesse et ce, jusqu’à la cuisine, réalisée elle aussi en pierre mais de couleur grise pour se marier avec les meubles laqués rouge. Enfin l’ancienne salle de bain fut réduite et transformée en salle d’eau, avec une douche multi-jets, de manière à réaliser un placard pour la dernière chambre attenante.
Quant au chauffage refait à neuf avec une nouvelle chaudière située dans la cuisine, nous avons profité de la dépose du parquet posé sur lambourdes pour y faire passer l’ensemble des canalisations : solution technique et esthétique qui permettait de redonner à l’ensemble une modernité tout en conservant les éléments architecturaux prédominants : les grandes fenêtres, les corniches et le parquet en « pointe de Hongrie ».
